Member-Provided Information: You provide us information about yourself, such as your name, e-mail address, your relationship with Zhejiang University, and other contact information for the convenience of alumni networking when you sign up online, in person, or through email. We keep this information in our member database. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address and our responses.
Cookies Information: When you visit www.zhedaalumni.org, we may send one or more cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets ZAN help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie does not collect personal information about you. ZAN uses both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser's directions. Log File Information: Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. When you register with or view our site, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. Member provided Contents: The information you post on blogs, forums and other content formats that are deemed open to the public.
How We Use Your Information
The personal information collected from your profile is used solely for the purpose of Zheda alumni networking. Only publishable information you submitted when you register as a member would be open to the public, such as year of graduation, major, city and company name. Your email address and other sensitive contact information such as phone numbers and address are kept private and only accessible by the administrators. Your email will also be used in a way that members can contact you through an email portal provided in this website without exposing your email address to them. Furthermore, except your email addres, other contact information, such as phone numbers and address, is optional and not mandatory. Please leave optional contact information fields blank if you have concerns. You always can add them later in your personal profile anytime.
By providing ZAN your email address you consent to our using the email address to send you Service-related message, and ZAN related annoucements and notifications. You may not opt out of Service-related messages. If you do not want to receive email messages for ZAN related annoucements and notifications, you may opt out by unsubscribing corresponding ZAN's google group(s).
We use alumni directory, blogs, and forums as a platform for alumni to network and exchange ideas, experiences and resources. Except members' personal information, anything contents you post or upload to this website are deemed to be open to all members and even to all public. It is member's sole responsibility to decide whether these contents could be disclosed. Any member posted contents are independent of ZAN and do not represent ZAN's standings. ZAN also do not endorse any individual's posted contents.
How We Share Your Information
Personally Identifiable Information: ZAN will not rent or sell your personally identifiable information to others. We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of ZAN (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers).
Any personal information or content that you voluntarily submit for publication or sharing via the Service (for instance, news about your company to be included) may become available to the public. It is always your choice and responsibility whether to submit such information.

Compromise of Personal Information
It is our policy to provide notifications to our alumni members via E-mail notice, or through conspicuous posting of such notice on our web site at http://www.zheaalumni.org, as determined by us in our sole discretion.
Your Choices About Your Information
You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information through ZAN, in which case ZAN may not be able to provide certain services to you. You may update or correct your account information at any time by logging in to your account. You can review and correct the information about you that ZAN keeps on file by contacting us directly at email@example.com .
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, ZAN does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information to or on ZAN. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
