Call for Support to Sichuan Earthquake Donation Events at San Francisco over Weekends

Dear friends, as all of us have seen from the news, the earthquake is such a tragedy for our Chinese (please see this slideshow). Besides tears and our own donations, let's do something more this weekend to help the tens of thousands of people suffered in this disaster. My friends and I are planning to organize a donation event in San Francisco this weekend--街头募捐

Where: Fisherman's Wharf and 2 other places, San Francisco. (And more places in San Francisco if we have enough people)

When: 

Saturday-May 17 11AM-6PM    
We will hand out flyers at different locations.

Sunday-May 18 11AM-6PM    
We will set up tables and posters at three locations:     
1. Bay to breaker ending point, 2. Union Square, 3. Fisherman Wharf

What to do: we plan to create a poster to display photos of earthquake and let people know what's happening in China. Call for donations.

Here are the ways we are thinking to facilitate people's donations:
   1) We buy envelopes & stamps, print red cross's address on them. Give them to people who want to donate, so that they can put the money in and mail it easily.
   2) Collect people's email address, who are interested in donations. Then, we send donation links to them.
   3) Print flyers (with donation instructions) and give them to people who walk by.
Please let us know if you have any other better ideas.

To do this, we need more hands. The more people we have, the more streets we will set up donation tables. If you are free sometime this weekend, please join us. You can come and leave at whatever time that is convenient for you. We need helps on big board, tables and transportations (Especially a truck to carry boards and table and other equipments).
