Qualifications:
· BS in Accounting (Required)
· Proven business acumen and investor relationship with investors, VC’s, the NASDQ and customers (Required)
· MBA or CPA (preferred, not required)
· High energy and versatility (Required)
· Fully dedicated with long-term commitment to build a firm from pre-IPO, through IPO to post IPO full-scale manufacturing expansion (Required)
· 12+ years of progressively responsible positions in accounting and finance, including VP of finance or CFO-level at a start-up to medium-sized firm capital equipment firm, such as semiconductor equipment, industrial automations equipment, solar equipment, medical devices and related industries (Required)
· Prefer to have IPO experience: proven track record for successfully taking a start-up or pre-IPO firm, through the IPO and post-IPO process on a
· Prefer to have IPO experience with semiconductor equipment industry experience (Preferred, not required)
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the CEO and other members of senior management to develop strategic planning objectives and ensure financial and operational goals are met
· Capital Restructuring and recapitalization: working with new VC/investors to recapitalize early investors.
· Catalyst and champion for the firm’s pre-IPO, IPO and post-IPO scale up.
· Contract Negotiations with key customers, suppliers and investors
· Assist CEO in securing project funding/capital and developing complex financing structures including multiple entities and financial partners
· Provide budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections on an ongoing basis
· Prepare financials and projections related to project financing; present financial information as needed
· Oversee the accounting and finance functions, including financial and managerial reporting and general accounting performed by others
· Work with the Controller to build out the finance and accounting team as the company grows.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors Degree in Business or Human Resources or related field
· MBA is strongly preferred (not required)
· 12 + years proven track record of executive level of HR management experience
· High-energy and inspirational style of leadership with strong “buy ins” from all level of the organization is a must
· Must generate alignment and commitment across levels and businesses
· Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and project management experience
· Strong HR strategic business partnership with all departments
· Experience developing, preparing, and delivering presentations to senior management
· Experience in fast-pace technology start-up through IPO high growth process is strongly preferred.
· Detailed analytical skills with the ability to identify needs and issues and work with HR in developing programs to drive business performance
· Experience in complex electromechanical capital equipment R&D and scale up operations are strongly preferred
· Keen sense of cultural sensitivity in the Western and Asia Pacific region is strongly preferred
· Must be able to thrive under pressure and with strict guidelines and competing priorities
· Extensive knowledge of Human Resources functions, preferably in HR Leadership roles
· Deep knowledge and practical use of organisational design and change management methodologies and activities
· Credibility and integrity to act as “Leadership Advisor” and influence at a senior management level and board of directors
· Deep expertise in people & organisation, i.e., the management of power and authority in teams, organisations and alliances
· Exceptional coaching, strategic consulting, facilitation and problem solving skills
· Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus
· Ability to travel up to 25% internationally
Responsibilities:
· Leads and manages an experienced group of Human Resource professionals including hiring, training, evaluating and counseling staff to achieve appropriate goals.
· Establishes compensation programs/policies, performance management programs, associate benefits programs and services, and company safety and health programs. Monitors for effectiveness and cost containments.
· Builds and maintains a capable, effective and respected global HR organization.
· Develops effective plans that defines the global strategy and delivers against imperatives as documented in the balanced score card.
· Oversees the use of consultants, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, and other outside resources
· Play an active role in driving “change”, enhancing the company’s culture and values, around the world, and be perceived as a viable, helpful, valuable and uplifting resource. The incumbent will play a leadership role in encouraging entrepreneurial, aggressive and prudent risk-oriented business activities by leaders across the company.
· Defines all Human Resources programs, and authority/responsibility of Human Resources and line management within those programs.
· Provides HR counsel and support to C-Suite executive leadership of the organization.
· Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep top management informed of new developments.
· Establish HR “best practice” policies, by implementing employee and management performance enhancement tools. Ability to flex between classic leadership/employee development assessment and training design/deployment and organizational effectiveness (curriculum design and connection to OD and HR programs)
· Ensures the formulation and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the entire company.
· Informs manager of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives and those which are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.
