The cultural differences, when we are not aware can have very direct impact on our success in business. Edward Yang, a thirty-year industry veteran who has served as Senior VP at several global companies, will share with us from his unique perspective and experiences of having conquered the difference not only himself for his career advancement, but also helping many others succeed.  Ed will draw a lot from his personal experience for this talk, from very early on his career to the very top when he strategize with power groups within company boards.  The advice given here is applicable at all stages of the career from your first transitions in advancement to the very top of the management ranks.

Speaker Biography:

Mr. Edward Yang is the Chairman and President of iSoftStone North America and Europe Operations. Edward Yang has extensive management capabilities, strong understanding of the client outsourcing value proposition, and experience in cross-border management of China-based business.

Before joining iSoftStone, Edward Yang was formerly the Chairman of the Cross Shore Acquisition Corporation, a public company listed under London AIM. He was the Co-founder of the company that raised US $112 Million in April 2006, to support the acquisition of a leading US-based provider of clinical outsourcing services, and led its strategic expansion into Asia.

From 1992 to 2000, Mr. Yang was Corporate Senior Vice President for Electronic Data Systems (“EDS”), responsible for its operations spanning the entire Asia-Pacific region. During his 8+ years with EDS, Mr. Yang brought outsourcing to the Asia-Pacific region and led the Company’s regional expansion from $100 million to more than $1.2 billion, with more than $4 billion in contracted revenue backlog.
