SYSTEM SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER

As a member of the Storage software QA group in the MCP platform Software
organization
the successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Integrated system drivers testing to ensure functionality and
compatibility
- System test areas include storage, system BIOS/firmware
- Evaluate new feature design specification with the purpose of creating and
implementing test plans and test cases to qualify new functionality
- Storage device driver testing with SATA/AHCI/RAID controllers
- System software applications compatibility testing including proprietary
RAID tool and network tool, industry standard ACPI, stress tests,
benchmarks, multimedia software, and etc.
- Utilize Microsoft test management infrastructure (DTM) to enhance testing

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

- 2-3 years experience working in a storage system test position.

- Extensive knowledge of storage driver and management applications.

- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical

Engineering

- Extensive knowledge of all Windows operating systems (Win7/Vista/XP) a

must

- Hands on experience with PC hardware/software configuration and setup a

must

- Strong trouble shooting, debugging and analytical skills a must

- Knowledge of various storage types (PATA/SATA/SCSI) highly desirable

- Knowledge of using debugging tools (Windows Kernel Debugger/SATA Analyzer)

strongly desired

- Prior testing experience with RAID, SATA strongly desired

- Test automation experience with different OS a plus
