Part-time IT/Linux System Administrator at Alibaba

Alibaba Group R&D Silicon Valley team is looking for
Senior IT/Linux System Administrator/Analyst  for Short Term Projects

This short term project contractor position is to provide IT Linux
System solution for Alibaba Group R&D Silicon Valley team.  The team
has less than 10 developers at this time and will reach 20 or more by
the end of this year.  This IT/Linux System Admin will help set up the
initial development environment as well as ongoing incremental
installation.

The main responsibilities include:

-          Evaluate appropriate development hardware that fit into the
team and company’s requirements

-          Plan, implement, and support changes to the SOLARIS
UNIX/REDHAT LINUX Systems / network topology/routing set up and
environment

-          Automate the incremental installation of development
machines or virtual machine set ups

-          Set up centralized VPN, enable all machines on the intranet
all the time.

-          User account management set ups. Unified user name/password
across PC&linux machines

-          Easy remote access to team’s linux machines for each team
member using ssh/telnet/etc

-          Document procedures to access machines in data centers
across country.

-          Email setup/tools on PC&Linux support.

Requirements:

-          at least 2 years of IT/system admin experience of the above.
